These images were taken during a trip up the country's highest road, up 14,260 foot Mt. Evans, on June 16th, 2001.

Sharp eyes can sometimes pick out hikers at its summit from the Mt. Evans summit.

A partially-thawed Abyss Lake, far below. Gray's and Torrey's Peaks, like twins, far right. The opposite sides of these peaks look down into Summit County and "home". Gray's and Torrey's are also fourteeners, and the only fourteeners on the Continental Divide.
