December 4, 2004: taken from the Genessee overpass down not too far from Denver, Interstate 70 climbs west towards the mountains. This bridge was specifically designed with no center support, because as you come up through the foothills, you come upon the bridge, which perfectly frames your first view of the mountains since beginning the climb. For obvious reasons, I didn't climb down onto the Interstate to show the bridge and how beautifully it frames the mountains, but you can get at least some idea from the top of the bridge.
